If you’re interested in taking part the study team will arrange your first study visit. At this visit you’re welcome to ask us any questions then, if you’re happy to take part, we’ll ask you to sign a consent form.  We will then ask you some questions and carry out basic clinical assessments (e.g. physical examination) to confirm you are eligible for the study.

If you’re not already being seen for your condition at your local hospital please bring to this visit any letters or copies of results you have received from your current care team.  These will help us to confirm the specific diagnosis you have been given.

To confirm your eligibility, we will also need to perform a physical examination and ask you about any medications you’re taking and any other medical conditions you have been diagnosed with.  If you are a woman and able to have children you will have a blood or urine pregnancy test to confirm that you’re not pregnant.

For more information about what will happen over the course of the study if your eligibility is confirmed please see our information on participant involvement and our patient information leaflet.
